Science Field Trip
I thought that the Science field trip was okay, considering alot of people thought that it was boring. All the stuff we did was pretty easy, like testing the water. I actually thought it was better than going to science class. That would have been way more boring than the field trip. Another thing we did there was test to see if there was certain chemicals in the water, I found alot of bad and good things in the water. Overall it was a pretty interesting field trip.

The Satchel
“Hurry up lets go,” John yells.
“Okay I’m coming,” you say.
You and your friend John just had a sleepover at his house, he wants you to hurry getting dressed because you guys are going to the park to play catch. You grab the football and get down the stairs in three steps.
“Finally it’s been an hour,” John says.
You guys both walk and start to head to the park. On the way you guys talk and have an idea to bring some friends with you to the park. You guys decide against it because you don’t feel like playing a game of football you just want to play catch.
John really isn’t your friend he is stronger than you and sometimes he gets pretty mean, but you feel bad he doesn’t have many friends. John also has a bad home life. He always runs away from home, his family also does not have much money.
“Okay were here,” You say.
You start to head to the other side of the small park with only four swings. Only after three passes back and forth the John accidentally throws the ball into a bush. “Sorry!” John yells.
“I’ll get it,” you moan.
As you head into the bush you hit your head on something. You look up to a strange item, there is a black satchel. You take it and surprisingly you see no locks on the satchel. You open it and your heart nearly stops you see multiple hundred dollar bills in the satchel. All of a sudden you hear,
“Hey what are you doing over there, get the ball!”
You must make your decision now are you going to show John the satchel full of money. You decide not to show him he will probably take it from you. But in a few moments John is right next to you.
“What’s in that case!” he says in an interested voice.
“Nothing,” you say.
You can tell John is angry now.
“
Give it to me!”John yells.
If you give John the case he will take all the money and won’t give you any, but if you keep it he may try to beat the snot out of you and then take the case. You decide to keep the case it’s only fair you found it.
“No I found it you stupid idiot!”you yell back.
You expecting it John takes a swing at your head, you dodge it. You feel a fist in your gut and you get that horrible feeling, when you cannot breathe for about three to two to three seconds. You have had the wind knocked out of you.
Just to make things worse John punches you straight in the nose and you’re on the ground. Right after that you hear a siren and see a police car pull over to the side of the road you look back at John with a smile but he is already sprinting away. The police officer helps you up he tells you your nose is bleeding. He asks if you are okay and you say yes.
“I saw the whole fight he took the first swing,” the officer says.
After that he asks you all that stuff like your date of birth. Then he goes to John’s house. When you get home you hide the satchel under your bed. You think about what you want to do with the money. You have to spend it little by little so that no one knows that you have it. You count the money and it adds up to two and a half million dollars. You bring some money and head out the door to the store. When you’re at your drive way you get a taxi, when you get to the store you give the driver a hundred dollar bill.
“Keep the change,” you say.
“Okay!”says the driver.
You head into the store and buy what you’ve always wanted a PS3 with four controllers and all the games you’ve wanted that were always sixty dollars. You would never be able to get this before. You think that will be enough for now! When you walk past the Nike shoe you decide to get some new shoes. Then you walk past the movie store, and you can’t hold yourself back from getting a Blue ray DVD player and a bunch of cool blue ray movies. When you get home you pay the driver to help you bring all the stuff you bought into your house.
When you get inside your parents are making dinner, what’s all that stuff they say. You just say it’s blankets from your sleep over, idiots believe you. Then you set up all the stuff in your room, you are playing video games when all of a sudden your parents bust into your room and tell you it’s time to eat. Then they say how did you get this stuff. You say to your dad he won the lottery, with his lottery ticket, instead of saying you found the money. You and your family have a great life.

Summer Vacation
School is almost over and everyone is very exited. We don't have very much stuff left to do, mainly the distric assment tests are left. After that we go to six flags which will be awesome. After that is the last day already. What we do there is just sign each others yearbooks. Then we have the whole summer to do what ever we want.

Why can't seawater quench your thirst?
Imagine that you are stranded on an Island with nothing to drink there is saltwater, but will you drink it or will you not. Well you shouldn’t because it will just make you dehydrated. You are better off just not drinking at all, you will also have a chance of living longer if you do this. But still why does this make you dehydrated, the main reason is because it has salt in it. Salt water also has way to much salt in it for the kidneys to produce urine. If the kidneys tried to do this you would die of dehydration.
Why can’t the kidneys produce urine from salt water? The urine that the kidneys produce is much less salty than salt water to begin with. The more you drink the thirstier you get and the harder it is on your kidneys. If you drink a small amount it’s not going to kill you though. Sodium is needed in our body for us to live, but salt is sodium and other unhealthy things like chloride. Another thing bad about sea water is it could have chemicals in it like oil.
Besides the kidneys another thing in our body needs fresh water to live. In our body cells need fresh water because it is a major part in our bodies. The salt water will pass through the cells and do nothing causing you to dehydrate. All of this is a process called osmosis. Salt water is also heavier than the water inside the cells. Salt water is also very unhealthy for you in large quantities it increases the salt in your body, it could even cause your blood pressure to raise also unhealthy. Career Days
We learned alot during career days, it helps us to figure out the things we can do when we grow up. We also got to be away from school for two days. It wasn't that hard either, all we had to do is walk around. I liked going to UWM and WTCT because they had lots of stuff that you can go to school for. I didn't like going to Westwood or that bank because there were only a few things that you could do there, and I found it quite boring.

Social Studies Revolutionary War Paper
Imagine you are living inside the Revolutionary War, you are alone because your parents are gone. First of all what would you do. In the movie “The Patriot” and the book War Comes to Willy Freeman Gabriel and Benjamin have gone to war leaving there kids alone, and Willy’s Mather is gone, there is also similarities and differences between the book and the Movie.
In the book War comes to Willy Freeman Willy looks for her mom because she is captured by the British. Willy’s dad was killed in action while in a warzone. It is pretty accurate because it had characters like George Washington and General Cornwallis. It also had a lot of things that the British did like burning down cities and killing innocent civilians.
Though this is great book on the Revolutionary War there is also a movie called The Patriot. This movie is about a Father and his son going to war. The family name is Martin. The Patriot shows how brutal the British were by killing children and slaves. This movie is very accurate on the things the British did. Another thing that this movie shows is how the Contenental Army was a lot smarter and had more strategy than the British had.
There are many similarities with the book and the movie. They both talk about the war and how children were left alone during the war. Both of these also involve kids having to step up and do things like joining the army. A lot of the weapons like muskets and bayonets were used in both the book and movie as well. Another thing that is the same is the characters that were used like George Washington and General Cornwallis.
While there are similarities with the book and the movie there are also differences. The story is completely different in the book Willy is searching for her mom and in The Patriot Benjamin and his son are fighting in the Militia. Another thing that is different is the main characters in the book it is about the Arabus family and the Movie is about the Martin family.
Although there are similarities and differences with these two things, these are both good learning materials about the Revolutionary War. They both talk about how strong and organized the British were. If I were teaching about this I would recommend both of these.

Historical Fiction Paper
The battle started on April 12, 1861 when the Confederacy under the command of P.G.T Beauregard shot their cannons at our supply ship carrying our food, ammunition, and our drinking water. Our men were down to eating crackers and some of the drinking water we had left. We were running out of water and crackers quickly and we were going to starve to death without the food. The Confederacy hated us being in South Carolina, it was supposed to be their territory. Robert Anderson was our leader in the fort we had communication with the rest of the Union. Our headquarters said that they would attempt to send another ship without guns or ammunition on the ship . The Union told the Confederacy that there would be no guns or ammunition on the ship, but the Confederacy still shot down the ship.
The Confederacy obviously wanted to start a battle with us, and their obvious intention was to get us out of the fort . We would not go down without a fight. Robert Anderson ordered for us to fire back. We started to fire at the confederacy, we figured we had the advantage. We quickly discovered something horrible though. Our cannons were not strong enough to reach the confederacy . We quickly ran out of ammunition for the cannons as well once the Confederacy saw this they started to get into ships and move toward us cannons were constantly fired at our fort.

Though there was one Confederate causality caused by one of the confederate cannon misfires. We escaped using ships Abraham Lincoln sent for help. Our fort was completely destroyed. Most importantly though is that the Civil War had begun.

The Giver
I thought thr Giver was an okay play. I thought they needed alot I more props though I mean with the apple thing and the babies. That is pretty pathetic I thought it would be much better if they had better backrounds. All they had was a table and a few chairs, they can do much better than that.

Mini Lock in
I didn't go to the mini lock in. But it sounded ok I did not think it was worth the money to go to though. I also heard you could win a ninteno wi there to, but I don't even like those. It is good for student coucil to put all that money to a hospital . At least all the money went to a good cause.
Laptops at home
I think it is pretty cool we get to take home our laptops. It good because we can work on homework on the internet at home. The downfall is that we get more homework since teachers know we have our laptops to work on it at home.

creative writing
After three straight blows to the head, he punched me so hard I blacked out. I awoke still tied up in a chair, but I would never tell him where our secret base was hiding.
“Please! Ple-e-e-ease! Please let me go!”someone in another torture chamber yelled.
I didn’t know what would happen to me here, I certainly did not want to die here. The man who was torturing me left. All of a sudden I see him come back in with a gun. Then I hear gun shots and the man in the room laughed. I knew I was next. He aimed the pistol toward me, but then the door burst open. Then I see flashes of gunshots coming from the doorway. I see the interrogator drop dead to the floor.
A man walks in, it was the U.S. Marines, they instantly untie me from the chair. Then one of them throws me an assault rifle, it’s time to leave. As we are running out I hear explosions.
“What’s happening!” I yell
“I don’t know” One of the marines yells
Then there is an explosion I go into shell shock I can barely hear. I get helped up by another marine. They say we have to jump out the window in the river. One of the marines yells and jumps out the window. I go next, but jump to far and try to roll on my shoulder instead of going legs first. I roll and look towards the window. The last marine jumps out, but as he does the buildings explode. He is caught in the explosion and gets launched by it. He lands on his side next to me. He is alright.
We jump in the river and take a boat. They tell me to lay down, I’ve been through a lot. I lay down. I wake up to one of the marines shaking me. He says we need to get to a plane. We steal it easily with some disguise uniforms on the ship. In about 3 hours we are back in America. Soon we get to a base, one of the commanders there says I can go home, to my family.

Godfather Death
Imagine being a man who already has twelve children, and you can barely support them. Now you have to raise of thirteen kids. What are you suppose to do know? Money doesn’t grow from trees or just appear, so you hire Death to be your new son’s godfather. Death gives your new son a gift, and asks for one thing; which is he asks your son to never cheat him. Your son cheats him though; but it does not turn out well for him. In the short story “Godfather Death” there is very important symbolism and the plotline is an Irony.
Inside this story there is a very important symbol that shows why the boy cheated his Godfather. When Death gave his godson the herb that could heal anyone; he said “but if I stand at his feet then they are mine”. Then the kings daughter grew sick and needed a doctor, the king said "whoever makes her better will get a hefty reward and one day be king". This was a sign of greed for money and wealth when he still healed her with the herb. After this Death brought his godson to a place full of candles representing life and death. The godsons candle was shortest of all. Death threw his candle on the ground killing his godson.
Along with the important symbolism the plotline of this story is an Irony. To begin with this story is highly unrealistic. Death is everywhere in the world people die, but a skeleton named Death is not real nor is a room full of candles representing people’s lives. In the beginning of this story this world is in chaos the man has to find a godfather for his son. When he says to Death"you are the right godfather you take the poor and the rich without distinction". Near the end of this story the main character, the godson is struggling for life Death is about to kill him. In the end it ended in death when Death killed his godson for cheating him. Obviously all of that wealth and being the king was way more important then the boys godfather.
In this story the main character is not in control. The boy can make the decisions in life, but if he disobeys Death then he gets killed. Depending on when Death is standing at the persons feet or at their head that is what his godson must listen to. If he doesn’t listen Death gets outraged and attacks him. When Death said "It is all over for you. Now its your turn". But if you make a promise to someone you love you must keep it, because if you don’t that person may not forgive you. It was a good deal that the godson had he would have been rich and famous anyway, but he had to mess it up and it ended up in his death.
You can’t lie to or cheat people you love . You don’t want to ruin your relationships with those people. Especially with Death because he will kill you. When you make a promise you must follow it. This would be a hard decision to make though if you would even listen to something this big. That still doesn’t matter . If someone does something good for you then you do something good back. Harrison Bergeron
Imagine that you are in a world where every single person is exactly the same. If someone is taller, stronger, smarter, or better looking than somebody else, they are forced to by law to wear handicaps that slow them down, or a mask that make them look revolting. Some people are smarter than others. In this world if you are you must wear a buzzer in your ear that make atrocious sound, and you can’t think straight. Say your stronger than someone else, the government makes you wear weights that slow you down and make you equal to other people. Experienced dancers or ballerinas that are better and faster dancers than everyone else have to wear the weights as well on their ankles slowing them down to. Will you rebel against the government or just take the abuse? This is a hard decision to make considering you can get fines, and go to jail, or even a death penalty. In the short story "Harrison Bergeron" there is very important symbolism and the plotline is an Irony.
Inside of this story there is a dance between Harrison and the ballerina. This dance represents Harrison’s want for freedom in this story. Before destroying his, the musicians, and the ballerinas handicaps he yelled “I am the emperor” showing how he wanted to make a better world for people, and trying to make a world without handicaps. A thing about the handicaps is how they were sort of like a jail to the people holding them back and not letting them do things they are capable of doing. Everyone is different and that is what makes the world enjoyable. We in the world our each others audiences we all watch each other weather what were doing is good or bad.
Besides all of the important symbolism the plotline to this story is an Irony. To begin with this story is highly unrealistic. During Harrison’s and the ballerinas dance the story said they jumped up and kissed a ceiling thirty feet high. Another thing is that if it got to the point in this story all the people would probably attack everyone in the white house. People would rebel and wouldn’t wear the handicaps. The main character in this story is not in control because everyone has to wear the handicaps. One of most important things in this story though is that who ever reads it probably thinks (at least my life isn’t that bad). In the end of this story ends in death Harrison and the ballerina are shot to death by the Handicapped General, and Harrison’s parents don’t even remember it. At the end his dad said to his mom “you been crying” then she said “yup” “something real sad on T.V.”.
Now what would you do inside of a world like this?It would be horrible to live here, all of these stupid handicaps and the Handicap General. The world is different and that is the way God made it, the Handicap General is pretty much disrespecting this by what he did. This stories plotline is an Irony and there is very important symbolism in it.

The two best friends Pennywise and Taylor part 3
When Taylor got home her mom said
“ I’ve been worried about you where were you? ”
“ You would never believe me.” said Taylor
Taylor was tired so she clogged all of her sinks, toilets and drains so that the mysterious clown named Pennywise she made cry could not sneak into her room at night and eat her. Taylor awoke in the morning to her alarm clock it said 6:15, it was time to get ready for school. Taylor got into the shower to get all clean for school. After that she combed her hair that’s when she heard laughing coming from the drain in the sink. She quickly plugged up the sink with some toilet paper in the bathroom. Then she heard
“I’ll get you next time HAHAHAHA!”
“SHUT UP PENNYWISE!” Taylor yelled
Pennywise was frightened and fled back to the sewer. Taylor ran into her closet to get dressed once she was all ready she went downstairs to the smell of liver and beats (Taylor’s favorite breakfast). Taylor wolfed it down quickly and ran outside to get a ride to school.
“ I don’t want you staying out late like that anymore.” Taylor’s mom said
“I told you I DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!” Taylor screamed
Taylor was so angry she threw he mom out of the window. After Taylor drove to school she set her moms car on fire. When she got to school there was nobody there, but then Taylor saw she got here to early because her Mom usually drives her to school slowly . Inside of Taylors road rage she crashed into anyone in sight to get here. So Taylor picked the lock to get inside of school because it was very cold out and then she broke into Mr. Giese’s Laptop cart to play internet games until it was time for school. A half hour later Taylor was inside of first hour. Taylor had to go to the bathroom when she got out there was nobody here again. She looked everywhere, so she decided to go home because her mom probably got home by know to feed her lunch. But when Taylor got home there was nobody there either. Taylor decided to go to the gun store incase this was Pennywise’s doing. When she got there she picked up a machine gun and a pistol .
That was when she saw Pennywise she mowed him down, and defeated him easily by mowing him down with her machine gun. Pennywise stood up
“YOU WANT SOME MORE TAYLOR YELLED!”
Pennywise didn’t say a word. So Taylor mowed him down again and reloaded the gun. Then she pistoled Pennywise in the head. Pennywise was gone, but she still heard him laughing so she decided just to leave. She was walking up by village park and heard a screeching sound from behind her. She turned around to see Jason coming after her with his machete. Taylor unloaded clip after clip into his head, but it had no effect.
“Jeez Jason you’re a lot harder to kill then Pennywise!”
All of a sudden out of nowhere Taylor heard a screech from Pennywise
“No he’s not!”
Jason started to laugh and said
“You have problems with that messed up clown to”
“Yes!” Taylor said
“Stop talking about me!” Pennywise yelled
Pennywise turned into his true form a giant spider. Jason approached Pennywise and sliced all of his legs off, and then they ran up and kicked pennywise in his weak spot over and over. Jason threw Taylor an enhaler and three steel balls with a sling shot before pennywise ate him. Taylor ran up with the inhaler and said.
“THIS IS BATERRY ACID YOU SLIME!”
Pennywise’s face started to melt where she sprayed him and then she shot him in his head with the steel balls to finish him. The End…….. of part 3

Imagine that you are a boy named Nick ten to thirteen years of age, your Dad takes you to an Indian Camp. He takes you here because he wants to show you a pregnant women. When you are here you experience a mother having birth, and see a man who has killed himself! In the story Indian Camp there is the plotline is tragedy and the lesson is that the father is trying to show his son things that go on in the world.
In the beginning of the story the main characters world is in conflict; he has to leave his home knowing a pregnant women is waiting for his help. When he gets there to help her she bites him. After this there is a rise to power; the baby does not die and the birth is successful. Next there is a tragic flaw they just leave the women. A important symbol I noticed in this story that I noticed was that it seemed that the women who had the baby was just used the once the baby was born the husband just killed himself. Another thing is that once the baby was born e Father and his son just left.
Even though this story is a Tragedy there is also a very important lesson in this story. The lesson is that the dad is trying to teach his son about the real world and what goes on in it like life and birth. Something went wrong though, the dad only wanted to show his son the birth. The son also ended up seeing the man who killed himself in this story. It is still important for his son to know these things though because life and death happens a lot in the real world. The two best friends Pennywise and Taylor N
Once upon a time a kid named Taylor Norman was walking on the sidewalk going home from her friend's house. Then all of a sudden she heard laughing coming from the sewers HAHAHA she didn’t know what it was. She looked down there and saw a clown then she said
"Pennywise!"
"Thats me," said Pennywise laughing.
“Do you want a balloon?”
“ N-N-No,Taylor said.
“Do you want to be friends?” he said.
“Sure!” said Taylor
So Taylor jumped down in the Sewer with the mysterious clown and they had many fun times together, but soon pennywise got hungry and wanted something to eat.
“I’m Starving" said Pennywise.
“Me too!” said Taylor
“I’m going to go home now,” said Taylor
“But what about me!” said Pennywise
“If you’re hungry get something to eat.” Taylor said
“Can I eat you.”
“No!”
After hearing that Taylor tried to run but it was too late Pennywise grabbed her and bit her arm off.
“YUMMMMY!”
With Taylors free arm she punched him in the mouth and saw blood everywhere. Then she took a steel ball out of her pocket and shot him in the head five times to his death.
Part two
The clown strikes again
As Taylor was walking home a man said
“What happened to you.”
“A clown bit my arm off.”
“That’s cool.”
“NO ITS NOT!” Taylor yelled
Taylor struck the man down with a headbutt and Shot him in the head
“Naughty Naughty Taylor,” The Clown said
Taylor tried to run again but what Pennywise didn’t know was Taylor was only joking about running. Penny wise came after her then Taylor jumped in the air and lashed out with a flying side kick. Pennywise didn’t even have a chance to cry out he fell to the ground in excruciating pain then she kicked him in the spot no man would ever want to get kicked and Pennywise cried like a little girl.
"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"
“FINE!" Taylor said
The End
"Pennywise!"

The Monkey's Paw
Imagine that you have three wishes from a monkeys paw what. Is the first thing you would wish for? You have to be careful though because the monkeys paw takes your wishes and turns them into something twisted and horrible. In the short story “The Monkey’s Paw” the plotline is a romance, and the story's point is to tell people to be thankful for what you have and to be careful what you wish for.
How is this story a Irony? To begin with it is unrealistic. In the beginning of this story it is a perfect world. The old man and his wife have excellent lives and a great house. On page eight of the story he says “It seems to me I’ve got all I want”. After this a mild conflict comes into the story which is the monkeys paw. Another thing is in this story the old man is not in control whatever he wishes for is twisted by the monkeys paw. On page nineteen he cried “For God’s sake don’t let it in” referring to his son he just wished back to life. Notice how he said IT. The son dying is at the end of the story which is the death symbolism at the end.

A Clean Well Lighted Place

Imagine that you are an old man with no friends, life, or companionship every night you have to sleep alone. Wouldn’t you want to be somewhere besides at home all by yourself? In the short story “A Clean Well Lighted Place” there are three different characters that have different personalities.
Within this story there is an old man who lives all by himself. Since the man is alone he likes to stay at the café really late at night sometimes past midnight. On multiple pages of the story he calls “another brandy”. The reason why the old man doesn’t want to go home ever is obviously because he doesn’t want to be alone. A wife was what the old man once had, but now she is gone maybe the old man is just depressed. Inside of the story the old man attempted to kill himself by trying to hang himself but his niece saved him. This is definitely a sign of depression and loneliness .
Besides the old man there are the other two waiters; the older waiter seems to understand the old mans loneliness. Another thing that the older waiter does is not get mad the old man likes to be there. On the third page in the story the younger waiter say “ why doesn’t he just buy a bottle and drink it at home” after hearing this the older waiter said “it’s not the same”. This shows that the older waiter probably knows what it is like. Maybe the older waiter has no companionship as well. Overall the older waiter is much more polite than the younger one.
While the older waiter is so kind and polite to the old man, the younger waiter is being terrible and nasty to the old man. The cruelest thing that he did to the old man was on the second page of the story. All the old man wanted was another brandy and the younger waiter said “you should have killed yourself last week” . Another thing that the younger waiter does is always complains that he wants to go home and says he’s tired. It is kind of weird; why does he have this job if he always complains about it?
As you can see the three characters, the old man and the two waiters are all very different and all have unique personalities. It is hard to live by yourself when your old even in time today. There is nobody to take care of you when you are sick, or if you fall down and are unable to get up. You need family and friends around you no matter what your age.
